Hen Party Games

The best games give everyone a story to retell. Pick the ones that suit your group, make the rules your own and keep the fun going between activities.

The pizza box game

You need: an empty pizza box or large piece of card, a marker and a coin.

  1. Take turns bouncing the coin onto the card.
  2. When it lands on a blank spot, draw a circle and write a new rule inside it.
  3. When another coin lands in that circle, the rule applies.

Try rules such as “do your best impression of the bride”, “tell a story about the guest beside you” or “swap seats”. Keep it playful and let people skip any prompt they do not fancy.

Confessions

Ask each guest to write down a funny or outrageous story without signing it. The host reads them out and the bride guesses whose story it is. The best stories are the ones everyone is comfortable sharing afterwards.

A memory with the bride

For a gentler version, everyone writes down a memory they share with the bride. She guesses who wrote each one, then chooses a favourite to tell in full. It is a lovely game for a group where not everybody knows each other yet.

Most likely to…

Take turns reading a question and point to the person who fits. Try “most likely to start a singalong”, “most likely to lose their shoes before midnight” or “most likely to make friends with another hen party”. Add your own questions for your group.
